Slick demo for the simple photo app VSCO Cam™ designed by Visual Supply Co. They also make a set of presets for Lightroom and Aperture that look amazing. Would love to try them out - but hesitant due to the price.

Clear for iPhone. Coming soon. Super simple. Fun. Colourful. Gesture-based. Designed and built by Realmac Software, Milen.me and Impending. Love it.

A quick demo of an app called Scorekeeper XL, designed by Matt Rix from Mississauga, Ontario. It’s a simple app for keeping score while you’re playing board games or darts or any other kind of game. Really well thought through. Lovely transition and sound design. (via tinkertanker)

Kinect Graffiti. This app for Windows 7 uses the Kinect camera to track the motion of both the hands and the body of the user in real time and create three-dimensional artwork. Created by Innoiz from Seoul and built in Processing. It can be downloaded here.

I love watching creation process videos. I particularly enjoy the step from pencil sketch to Illustrator. Amazing. You can read more about the poster here. Nice work DKNG.

Nest - The Learning Thermostat. I think a lot of people saw the sexy marketing video. But this video shows us a bit more of the UI design and how it all works. They’ve done a really nice job taking advantage of the circular screen. Super clean and playful. I only wish the website and iPhone app they show were as nicely designed. What happened there? There’s a great article on Wired about the creator Tony Fadell, who was one of the designers of the original iPod, and his design process for Nest.
